Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – Saudi Arabia-based artificial intelligence startup Newera.ai has raised $2.1 million (SAR 8 million) in a pre-seed funding round led by Embark, with participation from a group of angel investors.
Founded in 2023 by Abdulrhman Alsuliman, Newera.ai specialises in enterprise-focused generative and agentic AI solutions, enabling organisations to transform complex business challenges into production-ready, deployed AI systems.
The newly secured funding will be used to scale Newera.ai’s operations across Saudi Arabia, strengthen its research and development capabilities, and accelerate product development with a strong focus on generative AI solutions tailored for Saudi enterprises.
Newera.ai positions its platform as a day-to-day AI partner for organisations undergoing digital transformation, offering tools designed to improve productivity, enhance collaboration, and accelerate innovation across enterprise workflows.
A key pillar of the company’s strategy is data localisation within Saudi Arabia, ensuring full compliance with local regulations while safeguarding enterprise data. Newera.ai views regulatory alignment and data sovereignty as critical to building long-term trust with enterprise clients.
Looking ahead, the startup plans to deepen partnerships with local organisations and integrate seamlessly with existing enterprise systems across sectors such as finance, logistics, and operations. The investment will also support the development of next-generation AI capabilities, including automation, predictive analytics, and personalised enterprise solutions, aligned with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 objectives.
