Riyadh, August 23, 2025 — Saudi venture capital firm Impact46 has announced its largest investment to date, committing more than SAR 200 million ($53 million) to Kammelna Studio, the Dammam-based developer behind the Kingdom’s most popular culturally rooted games, including Baloot and Jackaroo.
Kammelna has emerged as a market leader in culturally inspired Saudi games, with its titles downloaded over 6 million times and boasting more than 1 million monthly active users. Its Baloot tournaments alone have attracted 150,000 participants, highlighting the game’s strong cultural significance. With a team of over 40 professionals across engineering, AI, product, and growth, Kammelna stands as the largest independent Saudi gaming developer.
The deal was unveiled during the Next-Gen Sports Conference (NGSC25), held alongside the Esports World Cup in Riyadh, and witnessed by H.E. Eng. Abdullah Alswaha, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, underscoring the strategic importance of the agreement to Saudi Arabia’s gaming ecosystem.

Impact46, which manages more than SAR 2.3 billion in assets, including a dedicated gaming fund, has a strong track record of backing leading Saudi startups, including Rasan and Jahez, both of which successfully listed on the Tadawul.
This landmark transaction positions Kammelna as a driving force in the Kingdom’s rapidly expanding gaming and entertainment industry, further solidifying Saudi Arabia’s role as a global hub for gaming under Vision 2030.
