{"id":4957,"date":"2026-04-16T16:48:05","date_gmt":"2026-04-16T13:48:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ksa.fintechnews.media\/?p=4957"},"modified":"2026-04-16T16:48:05","modified_gmt":"2026-04-16T13:48:05","slug":"saudi-fashion-platform-aya-lands-7m-series-a-to-fuel-expansion","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ksa.fintechnews.media\/?p=4957","title":{"rendered":"Saudi Fashion Platform Aya Lands $7M Series A To Fuel Expansion"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Source: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbesmiddleeast.com\/innovation\/startups\/exclusive-saudi-fashion-platform-aya-lands-7m-series-a-to-fuel-expansion\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Forbes Middle East<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Saudi Arabia\u2019s trend-led fashion platform <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aya.app\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Aya<\/a> has raised $7 million (SAR 26 million) in a Series A round led by Raed Ventures, with backing from Nuwa Capital, Sanabil Investments (a wholly owned company of the Public Investment Fund), Khwarizmi Ventures, and other venture capital firms and angel investors, the company exclusively told <em>Forbes Middle East.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The new funding brings Aya\u2019s total funding to date to $9.8 million.<\/p>\n<h2>Leveraging the Abaya market<\/h2>\n<p>Founded in 2024 by the\u00a030 Under 30 listees\u00a0Munira Alkadi and Abdulrahman Alammar, Aya started with Abayas, a $3 billion category in the Gulf region.<\/p>\n<p>The platform attracted over 500,000 monthly active users across Saudi Arabia and the GCC and grew ninefold over 12 months to March 2026, compared to the preceding 12-month period.<\/p>\n<p>The company tests over 700 designs monthly, validates demand within hours, and routes production across a distributed network of manufacturers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe spot trends in minutes, launch them the same day, and quickly validate what converts,\u201d said Munira Alkadi, Co-Founder and CEO of Aya. \u201cWe proved this in Abayas, and we\u2019re now scaling the same system across new fashion categories in the GCC.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>Fueling expansion<\/h2>\n<p>The new funding will help Aya expand into new categories, onboard key team members, expand its supplier network, and continue building its operating system.<\/p>\n<p>Aya\u00a0closed a $1.6 million\u00a0(SAR 6 million) seed funding round in March 2025, led by Khwarizmi Ventures, with significant contributions from Turki Alrajhi, RAED Ventures, Joa Capital, and FENA Holdings.<\/p>\n<p>According to our analysis,\u00a0Saudi startups\u00a0raised $122 million in funding across 25 deals during the first quarter of 2026.
